… the bullet-shot soldier

At the time he served for the Indonesian army, fighting against the Aceh Freedom Movement (GAM). Aceh is at the Northern tip of Sumatra, West of Indonesia. By nature, Aceh is a hilly city. Once, the soldier went on patrol in a jeep up a mountain and got attacked by freedom fighters from an upper angle. The soldier got shot in his upper arm but managed to jump out of the jeep and ran away, while his fellow-soldiers bleeded till death.

He is back home and recovered now. The bullet however, never got removed and is has remained there inside his body.

” I’m doing fine. The bullet is still there, but my arm looks good and  I can move my arm freely, so why worry about it?
